Kung Fu Fridays and Action Movie Fridays

A 3D poster world that changes its line up every month.

Client: SABC 1. Direct client. 2024 to 2026. Broadcast. 3D titles, monthly editions.

The job

SABC 1 runs a themed movie night every Friday and needed a package that could announce four new films each month without being rebuilt every time.

What we made

A 3D set of posters, screens and props that the camera flies through, with each film’s title and date landing in turn. Kung Fu Fridays ran on a yellow set with swords and kunai. In 2026 the same system became Action Movie Fridays on a red set, with months like Robocop and the Will Smith Festival.

What to notice

The posters, titles and dates are swapped in a template, so a new month is a fresh edition, not a fresh project. The channel gets a consistent look on air and a quick turnaround every month.
